Octavian, 44-27 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.88 g, 12 h), brockage mint error, uncertain Italian mint (Rome?), circa 30-29. Bare head of Octavian to right. Rev. Incuse of obverse. Cf. BMC 624, Cohen 123 and RIC 267. Bright and attractive, and with an unusually sharply struck incuse image on the reverse. Nearly extremely fine.
